Memoir of the Survey of Travancore and Cochin States Vol.2 incorporates the statistical and geographical surveys of Travancore (1901) and Cochin (1893) in two parts. The first part which deals with the survey of Travancore contains descriptive accounts written almost exclusively by Lt. Ward while the second part which focuses on Cochin contains descriptive accounts by Lt. Conner as well. A uniform style of description is followed throughout the work. The geographical knowledge revealed through this work has garnered serious interest in academic circles. The present edition has been reprinted with brief biographical sketches of the authors.
