Kamala Surayya Archives

KCHR is setting up Kamala Surayya cubicle in its Contemporary History Archives to house memories, documents, photographs etc related to her life and writings. We welcome you to contribute towards the Kamala Surayya archives if you have any of the details on Kamala’s life, contacts, visits, friendships, meetings, interviews, etc. Even recollections of casual acquaintances can be sent, since they may bring out an unknown facet of her life/personality and make the archive more comprehensive and meaningful.

The Council requests all her friends, relatives and acquaintances to contribute their memories and other resources to the archives. The contributions would be significant source material for future research on the life and contributions of Kamala Surayya.

All documents will be preserved in the name of the contributors and it will be mandatory for researchers to acknowledge the contributions. There will be facility to keep documents confidential for a specified period if any one so desires. Contributors will also have the right to restrict their contributions exclusively for academic research.
